France Visa Application Requirements for UK Residents.

• France Visa application form. Fully completed.
• Passport copy. Must have two blank visa pages Valid for at least three months beyond the expiry date of the visa. Please note that only passports that have been issued during the past ten years can be endorsed with a visa. If your passport was issued longer than 10 years ago, please apply for a new passport at your Embassy.
• Passport-type photograph. Include 2 passport style photos, with a white background, taken within the last 3 months.
• Proof of status. A copy of immigration status in the country of residence such as a resident card, work, or study permit. This document must be valid a minimum of 3 months after your intended departure from the Schengen area.
• Travel insurance. Proof of international travel insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, specifically covering travel to Schengen states is required. The policy should cover all expenses for repatriation, emergency medical aid, and hospital treatment for the period of stay.
• Proof of travel (airplane, train, boat, coach, (hired) car).Reserved return travel tickets: mentioning applicant’s name and travel dates to & from the Schengen Area When travelling by car: car registration, car insurance, return travel tickets (ferry or Eurotunnel) mentioning the car’s registration number and driver’s driving licence. If the applicant is not the driver, then the driver’s cover letter (signed & dated) confirming joint travel with applicant and travel dates need to be provided too.
• Proof of Accommodation Reserved accommodation (hotel, hostel, camping). Reservation mentioning applicant’s name, travel dates and accommodation address details.
• Bank statement. A copy of the applicant’s last 3 monthly bank statements showing proof of sufficient funds. The statement must clearly show the applicant’s name as the account holder, the balance of the account, and the date of the statement.
• Employment letter. A copy of a letter from your employer on business letterhead, with contact details, purpose and duration of the trip and that you will be returning to your current job. If you are self-employed, please include a copy of your business license and tax return. If you are retired please submit proof of your retirement fund.
• For unemployed or homemakers, please provide 3 most recent monthly bank statements showing your name as an account holder, bank name and account balance.
• If Married.Original Marriage Certificate.
• If the child is applying Original Birth Certificate is required.

France Business Visa Application Requirements for UK Residents.

Apart from the documents mentioned above, for a France business visa you will need the following

• Business Support Letter. A support letter from the sending company which introduces the applicant, states the nature of the trip, and specifies the type and desired validity of the visa.
• Business invitation. A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in France. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to “The Consulate of France, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager.
• The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
  • State the nature of the business to be conducted (i.e. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in the destination country.
  • Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (i.e. a one year multiple entry business visa).
• Proof of status. A copy of immigration status in the country of residence such as a resident card, work, or study permit. This document must be valid for a minimum of 3 months after your intended departure from the Schengen area.
